At Journey Skincare, each facial is customized to your skin’s needs, which means the final price can vary based on the level of correction and advanced modalities used during your treatment. The price of the treatment will be disclosed before beginning so that you can decide if the price is in your budget that day. I can always adjust treatments to meet your budget needs.
The base price includes a complete corrective facial with:
-a customized cleanse
-a polish, enzyme, or light acid exfoliation
-a treatment mask
-finishing serums + SPF
Anything more advanced is considered an add-on, which may adjust the final cost of your service. Examples of add-ons include:
-dermaplaning
-nano-infusion
-spicules
-stronger acids, enzymes, or corrective peels
-hand or décolletage treatments
-designing product routines using items not purchased through Journey Skincare
These enhancements allow us to tailor your treatment with clinical precision so you receive the best results for your skin.
Add-on offerings may change over time as the menu evolves.
Chemical peels are advanced corrective treatments, and your safety always comes first. For that reason, I follow strict guidelines before performing a peel—regardless of your past experience elsewhere.
Here is my chemical peel policy:
I do not perform chemical peels on first-time clients. Even if you’ve had peels with other providers, I must assess your skin, your barrier health, and how you respond to my professional treatments before moving forward.
I only perform chemical peels on clients using a home-care routine designed or approved by me. Your skin must be properly prepped with the correct ingredients to ensure the peel works safely and effectively.
I do not perform chemical peels on clients who refuse to wear daily sun protection. Peels dramatically increase your skin’s sensitivity to UV damage, and SPF is non-negotiable to protect your results and your health.
I will not perform chemical peels on compromised, sensitized, or impaired skin barriers. In many cases, clients may need 3–6 months of healing and hydrating treatments before I determine they are ready for deeper corrective work.
Chemical peels are a privilege, not a starting point.
As your licensed esthetician, I make the professional call on when your skin is ready—and when it’s not.
My goal is always to protect your skin, support long-term results, and avoid unnecessary damage.
You only need a consultation if you have specific skin concerns you want to address—such as acne, hyperpigmentation, texture issues, inflammation, or long-term corrective goals. A consult allows me to properly assess your skin, your routine, and your overall needs so we can create a targeted plan that actually works.
If you’re simply wanting a relaxing, hydrating, or maintenance facial, you do not need a consultation.
Feel free to book anytime and enjoy a nourishing, stress-free treatment.
Consults are reserved for clients seeking correction, not just relaxation.
This is a nuanced question and truly depends on which products and ingredients you are currently using. In most cases, I prefer that clients use the products I recommend because it allows me to:
-fully control the treatment plan
-reduce the risk of negative reactions
-troubleshoot accurately
-ensure your routine supports — not sabotages — your results
When outside products are used, it becomes difficult (and sometimes impossible) for me to confidently determine why a reaction or lack of progress is occurring. For this reason, I can only stand behind treatment outcomes when my recommendations are followed exactly.
You’re investing in your skin — and in my expertise — and I want you to get the absolute best results possible. Using a routine designed specifically for you is the most reliable and effective path forward.
Yes! I offer comprehensive virtual treatment plans for clients who aren’t local or prefer to work together from home. These virtual sessions are just as detailed and effective as in-person consultations.
Here’s what to expect:
-A Zoom appointment where we discuss everything—from your skin concerns and product history to your overall health, lifestyle, and goals.
-A fully customized skincare routine designed specifically for you. All recommended products are drop-shipped directly to your door.
-Your plan will also include at-home facial treatments, along with step-by-step instructions so you can confidently treat your skin between sessions.
-We will meet bi-weekly or monthly (depending on your needs) to assess your progress, adjust products, and continue guiding your skin’s transformation.
Virtual clients receive the same level of care, customization, and accountability as in-studio clients—no matter where you live.
If you are running under 15 minutes late for a 60- or 90-minute appointment, I may still be able to accommodate you; however, your treatment time will be shortened accordingly, and you will still be responsible for the full service cost.
Certain steps or modalities may need to be omitted to stay on schedule.
If you arrive 15 minutes or more late, your appointment will need to be rescheduled, and a 50% fee of your service cost will be charged.
I understand that true emergencies and unforeseen situations—such as accidents or major traffic issues—can happen. In those cases, I will use my professional discretion to determine the best way to move forward.
Thank you for respecting my time, my schedule, and the clients booked after you.
Due to my limited availability and ongoing waitlist, I maintain a strict scheduling policy to ensure fairness and continuity of care for all clients.
If a client reschedules or cancels 3 or more consecutive appointments, I reserve the right to discontinue scheduling future services.
This policy is in place to protect appointment availability for clients who are committed to their treatment plans and respectful of the time reserved for them.
My recommendation:
Only book an appointment when you are confident you’ll be available. This helps ensure you receive consistent care and allows me to maintain an organized, dependable schedule for everyone I serve.
Thank you for understanding and respecting this boundary.
Yes — I work with clients 13 years and older.
Teen and pre-teen skin often needs gentle, corrective guidance paired with age-appropriate education. I focus on helping younger clients understand how to care for their skin safely while addressing concerns like early congestion, breakouts, irritation, or changes related to hormones.
For minors, a parent or guardian must be present at the first appointment and approve all recommended products or treatment plans.
My goal is to make young clients feel comfortable, supported, and confident while creating a simple, effective routine they can actually stick to.
To uphold the safest and most comfortable environment possible, I kindly request that only the person receiving the service be present in the treatment area. This helps maintain focus and ensures a safe, distraction-free experience.
Exceptions may be made in certain situations, including:
-Established clients who unexpectedly couldn’t find childcare and have a child old enough to sit quietly with a book or tablet (no wandering or exploring the room).
-Clients who experience anxiety and feel more comfortable having a support person present.
These exceptions are granted at my discretion, and in all other cases, I prefer that it be just us in the treatment room.
For clients under 18, a parent or legal guardian may accompany you during your visit.
Thank you for understanding and helping me maintain a calm, safe, and supportive space for everyone.
Absolutely — you are more than welcome here.
All products and treatments will be carefully adjusted for safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding. I am trained to modify exfoliants, ingredients, and modalities to ensure everything used is gentle, appropriate, and approved for this stage of life.
Your comfort is also a top priority. I use extra pillows, bolsters, and knee support to make sure you are positioned safely and comfortably on the treatment bed throughout your session.
If you have any concerns about specific products, sensitivities, or recommendations from your provider, we can discuss those during your appointment to make sure you feel fully supported.
I do not offer refunds on services already performed.
Skin reactions can occur for many reasons, including factors outside my control, and a negative response to a product or ingredient used during a facial does not qualify for a refund.
For products, here is my policy:
-Opened products cannot be refunded.
-Once a product has been opened or used, it cannot be resold and therefore is not eligible for a refund.
-If you experience a visible reaction, I will use my professional discretion to determine whether an exchange is appropriate and select a more suitable product for your skin.
-Unopened products that are in sellable condition may be returned for a refund within 14 days of purchase.
My goal is always to ensure your safety, comfort, and long-term results. I will guide you through any concerns and help you find products that work correctly for your skin.
If your tracking link shows that your package has been delivered but you did not receive it, please take the following steps:
-Double-check the tracking information for delivery notes or alternate locations.
-Contact the mail carrier immediately and file a missing or stolen package claim. They are the only party who can investigate once a package is marked as delivered.
Unfortunately, once a package leaves the shipping facility, there is very little I can do on my end. I cannot resend or replace products that were marked as delivered.
However, I will do my best to assist you and communicate with UPS so you have everything you need to complete your claim and (hopefully) recover your goodies.
This message indicates that your client–provider relationship with Journey Skincare has been formally terminated. While this is never a decision I make lightly, there are situations where ending the relationship is necessary.
Reasons for termination may include, but are not limited to:
-Repeated missed or rescheduled appointments
-Disregarding policies or boundaries
-Behavior that disrupts the studio environment
-Energy or communication misalignment
-Any situation where I do not feel safe, respected, or supported
I have worked very hard to create a space that is safe, calm, and mutually respectful—for my clients and for myself. If I determine that the relationship is no longer healthy, beneficial, or aligned, you may be “uninvited” from returning.
This ensures I can continue to offer the highest level of care, presence, and professionalism to every person who enters my studio.
